Varity Ventures is committed to providing goods, services and information in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities, and to giving everyone equal opportunity to use our Website and our businesses.
1. Our commitment
We aim for www.varityventures.ca to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, physical, cognitive and speech disabilities.
2. What we do
- Text and interface elements are designed with sufficient colour contrast.
- The Website can be used with a keyboard alone, shows a visible focus indicator and includes a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and descriptive link text so they work with screen readers.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives.
- Pages adapt to screen sizes and zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Forms have visible labels and clear error messages.
3. Known limitations
We test the Website regularly, but some content โ especially older documents or content from third parties โ may not yet be fully accessible. If you find something that is hard to use, please tell us and we will help you get the information another way while we fix it.
4. Feedback and accessible formats
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our Website and businesses, and we will provide information in an accessible format or with communication supports on request, at no extra cost and in a timely way.

5. Ontario (AODA)
As an organisation in Ontario, we meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11), including the Customer Service Standard. This includes our feedback process above, providing accessible formats and communication supports on request, welcoming service animals and support persons, giving notice of temporary service disruptions, and training our staff. Our accessibility policies are available in an accessible format on request.
